Colette Micko, a registered dietitian and diabetes educator, elaborates on the mechanisms through which ginger may exert its effects.

    Studies indicate that ginger could enhance insulin sensitivity, slow down carbohydrate digestion, and inhibit enzymes involved in glucose metabolism, thereby offering promising benefits for individuals with prediabetes or diabetes.
